Care instructions for anti-wrinkle treatments with muscle relaxants

> For all our patients who have had Corona:
Treatments with dermal fillers or muscle relaxant are possible at the earliest from 6 weeks after quarantine has been completed. If you still have long-term complications after this period, we kindly ask you to cancel your appointment well in advance, as we will not be able to perform any treatments even then.
We carry out these measures for your protection and ask for your understanding.

> For all our patients who get vaccinated against Corona:
Treatments with dermal fillers are possible at the earliest from 6 weeks AFTER receiving a COVID-19 vaccination or at the latest until 2 weeks BEFORE a COVID-19 vaccination. Please ensure that you have sufficient time between vaccinations if you would like to be injected with dermal fillers.

For treatments with muscle relaxants, our regular guidelines apply.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR TREATMENTS WITH DERMAL FILLERS

  • We do not carry out injections during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
  • The presence of children under 18 years of age is not allowed during treatments of any kind. However, adolescents over 14 years of age may wait in the waiting room on their own.
  • If you are accompanied by a younger child, only counselling is possible, as our staff is not legally permitted to supervise them.
  • Anti-wrinkle treatments and treatments with dermal filler in the same region within one session are not possible! Here, a minimum interval of 2 weeks is required.
  • Anti-wrinkle treatments and treatments with dermal filler in different regions are possible.

BEFORE TREATMENT WITH DERMAL FILLERS:

  • Please eat and drink before the treatment to avoid unnecessary circulatory reactions
  • Please do not drink alcohol on the day of treatment

ATTENTION:

  • No injections in acute allergic reactions
  • At least 1 week before a dermal filler treatment:
    • No intake of blood-thinning medication
    • No intake of painkillers with blood-thinning effect (e.g. aspirin, thomapyrin)
    • No intake of ingredients that contain Ginkgo
  • At least 14 days prior to treatment with dermal filler:
    • No infections / colds / herpes etc
    • No antibiotics or cortisone intake
    • No laser treatments in the same region (depending on the type of laser used, the waiting time to a treatment with dermal filler may be longer, please ask us!)
    • No invasive cosmetic treatments (such as microneedling, microdermabrasion etc.)
    • No dental treatments (including dental cleaning and bleaching)
  • At least 4 weeks before dermal filler treatment:
    • No vaccination
  • At least 6 weeks before dermal filler treatment:
    • No laser therapy/tattooing (including permanent make-up/microblading)
    • No piercing
    • No surgery (including dental surgery)
    • No COVID-19 vaccination
  • At least 6 months before dermal filler treatment:
    • No major surgery on the face (e.g. rhinoplasty, facelift)

In the presence of chronic inflammatory diseases of any kind, injections are only possible after a careful consideration. Please arrange a medical consultation for this.
If you have already had an anti-wrinkle treatment, treatments with dermal filler or a thread lift, please find out exactly what you have been treated with.
If necessary, certain deadlines must be observed before a new injection is given.
If you are taking cortisone or antibiotics permanently, dermal filler injections are unfortunately not possible.

AFTER THE TREATMENT WITH DERMAL FILLERS:

  • On the day of the treatment:
    • No smoking for at least 4 hours after
    • No makeup or lipstick
    • No alcohol
  • At least 48 hours:
    • No sport or excess physical activity
  • At least 1 week:
    • No sauna, solarium and excess sun exposure
  • At least 2 weeks:
    • No facial massage or invasive cosmetic facial treatments
    • No dental treatments, no dental cleaning or bleaching
    • No vaccinations / no COVID-19 vaccinations
    • No laser treatment in a different area
  • At least 4 weeks:
    • No microblading/permanent makeup/ tattooing
    • No laser treatment in the treated area
  • Important aftercare steps for lip treatment with dermal fillers:
    • No hot drinks and food for at least 4 hours
    • No kissing for 24 hours
    • Lipstick/lip care only on the following day
    • No dental treatment, no dental cleaning or bleaching for at least 4 weeks
  • Important aftercare steps for nose correction with dermal filler:
    • No pressure on the corrected area for 2 weeks (e.g. wearing glasses, sunglasses, goggles)

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO ENSURE THE RESULT FROM YOUR TREATMENT:

  • Stay hydrated: drink at least 2 litres of water per day
  • Slight unevenness or bumps in the treated area can be gently massaged from the third day after treatment
  • If necessary, the treated area can be cooled with a cooling pad (not from the freezer!) after the injection. Please only do so for a maximum of 10 minutes at a time.

WAITING PERIODS FOR ANY VOLUME INCREASE WITH FILLERS WITH MORE VOLUME THAN 0.2ML:

  • Volume build-up in the same region: At least 4 weeks
  • Volume increase in another region: At least 2 weeks
  • Skinbooster: At least 4 weeks

When changing to a different product manufacturer, different changeover times may occur depending on the manufacturer. Please ask us when you make an appointment, so that unnecessary inconveniences for you can be avoided.

RULES OF CONDUCT FOR INJECTIONS WITH BOTULINUM TOXIN

  • In order to avoid an antibody formation and loss of efficacy, a waiting period of at least 3 months must be maintained between two treatments with muscle relaxants.
  • We do not carry out injections during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
  • The presence of children under 18 years of age is not allowed during treatments of any kind. However, adolescents over 14 years of age may wait in the waiting room on their own.
  • If you are accompanied by a younger child, only counselling is possible, as our staff is not legally permitted to supervise them.

BEFORE AN ANTI-WRINKLE TREATMENT:

  • A laser treatment in another region can take place on the same day, but must then take place BEFORE the anti-wrinkle treatment
  • No injection in acute allergic reactions
  • At least 1 week before anti-wrinkle treatment:
    • No intake of blood-thinning medicine
    • No intake of painkillers with blood-thinning effect (e.g. aspirin, thomapyrin)
    • No intake of ingredients that contain ginkgo
    • No herpes
  • At least 14 days before anti-wrinkle treatment:
    • No antibiotics or cortisone intake
    • No infections, colds, etc.
    • No laser treatments in the same region
    • No invasive cosmetic treatments (such as microblading, microdermabrasion, etc.)
    • No dental treatments (including dental cleaning and bleaching)
    • No vaccination / no COVID-19 vaccination
  • At least 6 weeks before anti-wrinkle treatment:
    • No laser therapy/tattooing (including permanent make-up/microblading)
    • No piercings
    • No surgery (including dental surgery)

Special care should be taken when treating sweat glands with botulinum toxin:

  • No shaving in the area to be treated for at least 2 days

AFTER THE ANTI-WRINKLE TREATMENT:

  • At least 4 hours:
    • Keep your head upright
  • On the day of treatment:
    • No alcohol
    • No make-up
    • No rubbing/massaging the treated area
  • At least 48 hours:
    • No sport or excess physical activity
  • At least 1 week:
    • No sauna, solarium and intense sun exposure
  • At least 2 weeks:
    • No facial massage or invasive cosmetic facial treatments
    • No microblading/permanent makeup/ tattooing in the treated area
    • No dental treatments, no dental cleaning or bleaching
    • No laser treatment in the treated area
